Napoli are now working to find a replacement for Kim Min-Jae and are reportedly discussing a deal for RC Lens defender Kevin Danso.
The 26-year-old South Korean centre back has now officially completed his €50m move to Bayern Munich, leaving the Campania capital after a single season.
Kim shined for Napoli immediately after his arrival from Fenerbahce and played a crucial role in ending their 33-year wait for the Scudetto, impressing with his defensive solidity and build-up play. As reported by Calciomercato.com, Napoli identified Danso as a strong alternative to Kim last month and are now in close contact with Lens, trying to negotiate a deal.
The Partenopei are willing to pay around €15-20m, but Lens are hoping for €30m. The 24-year-old defender is contracted to the club until 2026. Napoli are hoping to negotiate a discount but are not interested in rushing the talks, keen to avoid making any mistakes.
