Milan have agreed terms with Luka Romero as a free agent from Lazio, but he might not necessarily play for the Rossoneri this season.
Multiple sources are all confident that the deal has been done and Romero will undergo a medical next week before putting pen to paper on a four-year contract, rather than the originally believed five years.
However, his future remains up in the air and he will be evaluated during the pre-season training camp by coach Stefano Pioli. If he is not considered to be ready for action yet, and other reinforcements are brought in for the attack, then Romero will be sent out on loan.
The right-sided striker is only 18 years old and moved to Serie A from Real Mallorca in 2021. Romero has played for Argentina at international youth level, but also has a Spanish passport, which allows him to be registered as an EU player. He has one goal in 14 Serie A appearances for Lazio.
