Milan have abandoned the idea of signing free agent Adama Traore, so Roma feel more confident they can get a deal done.
The Rossoneri had been the player’s first choice when the various options were on the table, but Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now claims that they have decided he does not fit their profile and are instead focusing on other objectives.
A move to Serie A remains likely, as Jose Mourinho’s Roma would be ready to snap up the 27-year-old Spain international. Napoli had also been in the running, but again appear to have turned their sights towards different alternatives. Traore is a free agent after his contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers was allowed to run down.
There is still the possibility that he could sign a new deal with Wolves, while Barcelona are keeping an eye on the situation after his loan spell there from January to June 2022. Traore plays primarily on the right side of a trident attack, but can also work on the left or as a centre-forward. Last season he scored three goals and provided two assists in 40 competitive appearances for Wolves.
