Kamada waits for Milan, but Chukwueze is the priority

Milan continue to pursue Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze, even if it means dropping Daichi Kamada, who continues to wait for his transfer.

The Rossoneri remain very active on the market this summer and have completely changed tack from the approach taken by previous directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.

A deal was reached with free agent Kamada by Maldini and it was just waiting to be signed, but the transformation at the top has seen that contract put on ice. According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are not necessarily convinced they will sign Kamada, yet he has rejected a lucrative proposal from the Saudi Pro League and is determined to keep waiting. The problem is that he is a non-EU player and with the arrival of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea, seeing as England are no longer in the EU after Brexit, that means there is only one slot left.

Although he has been in Spain with Villarreal since 2017, Chukwueze does not have a Spanish passport and the Nigeria international would be a non-EU player. Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia note negotiations continue with Villarreal for the 24-year-old, who would be a right-sided mirror to Rafael Leao.
