Reports are growing in both Italy and England that Manchester United are edging much closer to securing Andre Onana from Inter.
Sky Sport Italia had already suggested last night that a deal was expected, because the offer was moving towards the asking price of €50m plus up to €10m in various bonuses to reach €60m.
In the end, they are likely to agree at around €55m and an improved offer was made today after a new round of talks. Onana has seemingly been told to prepare for pre-season training with Manchester United rather than the Nerazzurri, as all parties expect a deal to be done next week.
The goalkeeper was always the most likely player to be sold this summer because he arrived only a year ago as a free agent from Ajax. His sale is therefore pure profit for the club coffers, which are badly in need of a boost. Onana reunites with former Ajax coach Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
