Despite being open to selling him in the summer transfer window, Erik ten Hag has ruled out Manchester United offloading Scott McTominay in January.
United held talks with West Ham over a possible deal for the midfielder before the start of the 2023-24 season, while Bayern Munich were also said to be interested in signing him.
The Red Devils eventually opted to rebuff the Hammers' advances and held onto the Scotland international.
The 26-year-old has been a useful figure for United so far this season, featuring in six matches in all competitions and, according to The Daily Star, Ten Hag has demanded the club keep him until the end of the campaign at least.
McTominay may have given his chances of earning more playing time under Ten Hag a huge boost last week when he came off the bench to score two late goals, bringing them back from 1-0 down against Brentford to steal an important win.
The Scotland international came through the United youth academy and has made 215 appearances since his debut in 2017. McTominay's contract runs until 2025 but the Old Trafford club have the option to extend by another year. The midfielder will likely feature for Scotland when they meet France in a friendly on Tuesday.
