There were reports over the last few days that Leonardo Bonucci had offers from Newcastle United and clubs in Saudi Arabia, but he is determined to stick it out at Juventus.
The defender has fallen increasingly down the pecking order last season under Max Allegri and their rapport, which was never good, has become positively frosty.
With one year to go on his contract, it was reported that Bonucci was considering lucrative proposals, including from Sandro Tonali’s Newcastle United and several different clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
However, La Repubblica insist the veteran has no intention of leaving Turin and will stick out the final season of his contract, even if it is mostly spent on the bench. The 36-year-old has made 502 competitive appearances in the Bianconeri jersey, scoring 37 goals and providing 10 assists. He first joined the Old Lady in 2010 and has been there ever since, save for a very brief one-season spell at Milan in 2017-18.
