Juventus have a few options to assess within their own squad before making more moves in the transfer market and a lot could hinge on the condition of Paul Pogba heading into the 2023-24 season according to reports in Turin.

As explained by Tuttosport, there is still a lot of hope that Pogba will be able to move on from his torrid and injury-laden 2022-23 season and start afresh for the new campaign.

The former Manchester United midfielder is said to be a key part of Juventus’ plans for the upcoming season, however, if there are any major concerns about his physical condition, Juventus could move to bring in reinforcements in attacking midfield, where Pogba is expected to be deployed.  In the event that Juve do start looking to bring in extra midfielders, one name that has been suggested is that of West Ham’s Pablo Fornals

The 27-year-old Spaniard is entering the final 12 months of his contract with the East Londoners and is also somebody who Cristiano Giuntoli has reportedly followed since his spell with Villarreal between 2017-19.  Other midfielders that have been suggested by Tuttosport include some more familiar options from Serie A, namely Piotr Zielinski from Napoli and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio

Both are also entering the final year of their respective contracts, but the price tags are still not insignificant. Tuttosport writes that Napoli value Zielinski in the region of €20m, whilst previous reports detail that Lazio could ask for more than double for Milinkovic-Savic.

Daichi Kamada has also been suggested as a potential Juventus signing. The Japanese international is currently a free agent after the expiry of his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of June.  In terms of outgoings, Juventus could face difficulty in keeping hold of Next Gen graduate Matias Soule as per page 4 of Monday morning’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The 20-year-old Argentine is wanted by Feyenoord and is valued in the region of €18m-20m. Juventus reportedly could push for a fee closer to €25m, but Feyenoord are said to be unlikely to be able to go quite that high.
