The Red Devils have long been linked with the Netherlands international, with efforts made to acquire his services in 2022. Gravenberch snubbed the Premier League giants at that stage, with the decision taken to link up with Bundesliga champions Bayern instead.
Gravenberch was, however, restricted to just six starts for Bayern last season and is said to be looking for another fresh start. That has alerted Liverpool to his potential availability, with Jurgen Klopp still in the market for reinforcements in the Anfield engine room.
Manchester Evening News reports that United are ready to rekindle their interest. Gravenberch has previously worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax and would help to cover the expected departure of Donny van de Beek as he closes in on a move to Real Sociedad.
Liverpool will be reluctant to miss out on a deal to old adversaries, having already been beaten to Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia by Chelsea this summer. However, United have plenty of factors working in their favour and have seen the need for midfield additions highlighted through their opening two games of the 2023-24 campaign.
